Community E-waste collection day - Jan 30th and Feb 6th 2021

On the 30th of Jan 2021, Computer Recycling ran its first CR E-Day of the year at the First Presbyterian Church based in Papakura.

The team worked with members of the community and provided a drop-off point for them to discard any old unwanted e-waste. Money was also collected and donated to our partner charity Variety – The Children’s Charity.

In total, over 300 people came and dropped off their e-waste, and 8462 KG of E-waste was collected and diverted from landfills, which included over 70 printers, 56 old home appliances, 63 TVs and an assortment of other electronic goods.

On the 6th of Feb 2021, Computer Recycling ran its second CR E-Day of the year at Green Bay High school.

This was our largest E-Day yet! Over 450 cars came through to drop off e-waste, and 13,512 KG of e-waste was collected from the community and diverted from landfills.

127 old Home Appliances, 123 Printers, 65 TVs and an assortment of other electronic goods were just some of the items collected on the day.
